Removing the headlights is easy. There is one bolt on top, and two nuts under the front wheel arch. The nuts under the wheel arch are hidden behind a rubber lining. To get at the nuts under the wheel arch, you have to remove a couple of screws from the lining and then pull the corner of the lining back. I jacked the chassis up a little to give me a bit more space, but some people prefer to remove the front wheel. This is the lining pulled back to allow access to the rear nuts.
Looking up behind the headlights to where the nuts are, you need a long socket extension to reach them..
After removing the nuts and single top bolt, slide the headlight forward a little and unclip the lamp leads. Notice the duct tape, I put that there to protect against scratching the paint just in case. |
